Mock Interview Cancellation/No-Show Policy: University Career Center

Policy
Purpose:

To describe the policy for cancellations/no-shows of mock interviews that are required as part of a course’s assignments

Applies to:

KU students who are enrolled in a course that requires completion of a mock interview with the University Career Center as part of the course assignments

Policy Statement:

For students who have scheduled a mock interview at the University Career Center as part of a course requirement and who need to cancel their appointment, cancellations must be received at least 2 business days before the scheduled appointment time. For example, a 2 p.m. Tuesday appointment must be cancelled before 2 p.m. on Friday. If a student cancels an appointment with less than 2 business days notice or misses a scheduled appointment, the student must write an apology letter to the Career Center coach with whom the student was scheduled. The course instructor must approve the letter before the student will be allowed to reschedule. An inappropriate reason for cancellation (for example, oversleeping, forgetfulness, etc.) may affect the student’s letter grade at the instructor’s discretion.

Consequences:

Regardless of the reason for missing a mock interview appointment or canceling with less than two business days notice, students will not be permitted to reschedule a mock interview without instructor approval.
