Purpose: 

The University of Kansas, Lawrence campuses, and the University of Kansas Medical Center campuses have, in collaboration with their respective governance bodies, developed procedures for the implementation of the Board of Regents policy on social media. 
  
The purpose of this policy statement is to approve the procedures for application of the Board of Regents policy on social media at the University of Kansas and to set forth the conditions under which the procedures may be revised.

Applies to: 

Faculty, staff, and student employees of all KU campuses.

Policy Statement: 

The procedures developed by each campus system shall be applied based upon the campus at which an individual alleged to have violated the Board of Regents social media policy is employed.  In the event of a joint appointment, the procedure for the campus at which the alleged violation occurred will be applied.  Any changes to implementing procedures at one or both campus systems shall be coordinated with governance and administration on both campuses prior to submission for approval.
