Purpose:

To outline the procedure for submitting official transcripts when applying for graduate study.

Applies to:

Applicants to graduate study

Campus:
Edwards
Lawrence
Policy Statement:

Applications must be accompanied by one (1) copy of official transcripts from the institution where the applicant earned the bachelor's degree (or equivalent). This official transcript will be used to verify the completion (or intended completion) of a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent).

If the applicant has completed any graduate work, official transcripts from this institution(s) must be included as well. Letters of recommendation and test scores may also be required. Applicants should check with the program to which they are applying for more information.

Official transcripts and test scores must be sent through secure means (e.g., a sealed envelope, electronic transmission) directly from the degree-granting institution or testing service to the University of Kansas in order to be considered official results. Transcripts and test scores provided through unofficial means will not be considered to be official documents for the purpose of admission.
